Will the typing test itself ever be locked?
No. The core typing experience is the product. We won't lock the thing that defines metyping behind a subscription.
What happens to my data if I cancel Pro?
Your full history stays. You keep every test you've ever typed. You lose access to advanced analytics, but the data is yours.
How does the annual plan save money?
One payment covers a full year of Pro at a permanent discount versus paying monthly — the exact saving is shown on the plan cards above. You can switch between monthly and annual anytime.
